    Description

The revolutionary flame-firing process that the new ProMark FireGrain sticks undergo changes the structure and properties of the natural American Hickory, removing moisture and hardening the core. The process has been around in different forms for years, even being used in prehistoric weapon making where warriors would fire-strengthen their weapons before battle. Now ProMark have applied the technique to their popular drumsticks to ensure drummers can go louder, harder and faster than ever before.

    Classic Hickory Design

Hickory is already a hugely popular material for drumsticks because of its resilience, responsiveness, durability and classic feel. These traits are then further enhanced with the flame treatment. An oval wood tip provides a dark, warm tone ideal for multiple applications. All ProMark drumsticks are designed and manufactured in the USA and undergo some of the most stringent quality controls in the industry.

    About ProMark

ProMark was founded in 1957 by percussion instructor and shop owner Herb Brochstein in Houston, Texas. It was the first company to introduce Japanese Shira-Kashi white oak into the American market, and the only company to successfully market oak sticks in the United States. The wood for ProMark is supplied by Japanese trader Tatsuo Kosaka. In recent years, ProMark has moved to use of non-endangered wood and a “green” finishing process to make their sticks and manufacturing processes safer to the player and the environment.
